New News!

3rd Annual Spring Showcase: Thursday, April 13th 5:30-7pm: Join us at the Youth Center for a short performance at 6pm, displays of student work from the past year, and a chance to speak with students, staff, and partner organizations!

CANStruction Team: The Middleton Youth Center/KMS Builders Club will be working with Mead & Hunt to participate in the Middleton Outreach Ministry's annual CANStruction event! This is a sculpture-building contest where all sculptures are made of non-perishable food items. Meetings will take place on Fridays at the Youth Center.

New Technology Policies:
In order to encourage more interaction between students and more engagement in activities, the Youth Center is implementing new technology policies. The use of chrome books and tablets will only be permitted for working on homework assignments or for a specific staff-led project and during free choice on the last day of the week. We appreciate your support during this transition!

Sports will go the the Firefighter's Park Gym every Tuesday from 4:15-5:45pm. If your student would like to participate in sports on Tuesdays, please encourage them to join the Youth Center on our new regular field trip to the gym space at Firefighter's Park. Transportation will be provided to and from the Youth Center.

THE YOUTH CENTER OFFERS:

  • Homework Help is available on school days from 3:45-6pm and includes access to high school tutors and communication with school day teachers if needed. Homework room is an optional choice for YC students. If you would like to require your student to attend the Homework Room or the check-in on homework completion before participating in other YC activities, please contact us.
  • Daily Enrichment Activities including art, sports, gardening, music, drama, science, photography, cooking, Girls Group, and more!
  • Community Service and Leadership opportunities including Leadership Club, Trick-or-Treat so Others Can Eat, and CANStruction.

The Middleton Youth Center is a program for youth and families looking for a fun, productive after school setting. We provide a daily snack for program participants.

ENROLLMENT FORMS

* Please submit the required forms by the first day your child attends the Middleton Youth Center.  All forms are available at the Youth Center during operating hours and below:

Enrollment Forms (English)

Formularias de Inscripción (Español)

Bus Form (This form is only required if you want your student to be able to ride the bus from Kromrey to the YC after school. The form must be submitted to the MCPASD Transportation Department.)

VOLUNTEERING

The two main volunteer positions we have available are:

  • Tutors for the Homework Help Room: (M-R 4:15-6pm)  Tutors work with students one-on-one or in small groups, and help keep the homework room a quiet, productive space.  We ask that all tutors are able to help with 5th-8th grade level homework in all core subject areas.
  • Weekly Activity Leaders: (M-R 4:15-5:15pm)  This is usually a better opportunity for college students or older.  We ask that activity leaders commit to planning and leading a 1-hour long activity at the same time once per week for at least one semester.  For example, leading a weekly art class.

To be considered for a volunteer position, please submit the following forms to :
