Opportunities
There are many reasons to volunteer at the Middleton Senior
Center.
- To help others
- To network or gain experience
- To learn something new
- To meet people and make new friends
Whatever your reason;, there are a number of ways to get
involved at the
Senior Center. Listed below are some of our current volunteer opportunities.
- Front Desk/Receptionist – Answer phones, greet visitors.
- Dining Room – Package meals for Home Delivered meal
program and
serve seniors who come for lunch.
- Driver for Home Delivered Meals – Deliver meals to
homebound
seniors in Middleton.
- Driver Escort – Transport seniors to medical
appointments.
- Elder Friend – Provide peer counseling to older adults
assigned
through Case Management Staff.
- Activity Committee – Assist in planning and implementing
programs
for the Middleton Senior Center.
- Foot Care Assistant – Sign in participants and assist
nurses with
supplies during foot care.
- Blood Pressure Assistant – Assist nurses by checking
recipients in and
filing information.
- Newsletter Collating – Collate, staple, fold & affix
labels to newsletter
each month.
- Tax Counseling – Accountants with previous experience to
assist
during tax season.
- Instructors for Art, Craft or Computer Classes – Use your
expertise to
teach others.
- Decoration Committee – Decorate the Senior Center
monthly.
- Church Liaison—Communicate needs of the Senior Center to
your
church.
