MIDDLETON PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Steve Leo at 6:35 PM.
1) Public Comment. None.
- Approval of the minutes of the November 13, 2008, meeting. Motion by DiPiazza, seconded by Zeinemann , to approve. Motion carried.
- Update on the construction of the New Police/Municipal Court Facility. Approved UnanimouslyChief Keil advised that the project is out for bids and that bid opening will be on Tuesday, February 17. Chief Keil advised that he will seek Council approval to enter into a construction contract and for borrowing at the March 3 meeting of the City Council.
- Department Annual Report. Chief Keil provided members with the 2008 Annual Report and answered questions. committeedepartment
- Cost of Police Services for special events. Chief Keil provided a report of the costs for extraordinary police services for various civic and private business events that took place in the City in 2008. Chief Keil will work with Ald. West on this topic for future discussion and consideration by this Committee and by the License and Ordinance Committee.
- Review of 2009 Budget Requests. Chief Keil provided a break down of budget requests and final budget approvals for the 2009 Police Department Budget.
Motion by Zeinemann , seconded by DiPiazza, to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM.
