City of Middleton Parks

The Middleton Public Lands Department oversees all park and conservancy land within the City of Middleton.  The Department is responsible for all planning, maintenance and yearly improvements on the land within its jurisdiction.

 

Lakeview Park  - 6300 Mendota Ave


Lakeview Park is Middleton's largest community park, covering 80 acres.  It provides many recreation opportunities with its open play field, playground area, baseball diamond, tennis courts, soccer fields, and hiking trails.  The park also contains a small scenic pond than can be used for fishing and is surrounded by an accessible path.  A large shelter with restroom and kitchen facilities is also available by reservation.  See "park shelter rental information on the bottom of this page.

Firemen's Park - 7400 Lee St


Firemen's Park is a medium sized 5.9 acre community park.  The park offers play equipment, an open play field, a baseball diamond, and basketball court.  Facilities include water fountains, restrooms and off-street parking.  Three outdoor shelters with picnic tables are also available for reservations.  See "park shelter rental information on the bottom of this page.

Firemen's Park

 

Parisi Park - 2405 Park St


Parisi Park is a 5.7 acre neighborhood park adjacent to the Pheasant Branch Creek Environmental Corridor.  The park includes a baseball diamond, basketball court, playground, and an open play area.  Parisi park also provides an open-air shelter, off-street parking, drinking fountains and restrooms.

Orchid Heights Park - 3960 Valley Ridge Rd


Orchid Heights Park is a 14 acre community park on the east side of the Pheasant Branch Conservancy.  The park features a winter ice skating rink, a baseball diamond, play equipment, and open play area, soccer fields, a basketball court, volleyball courts, and tennis courts.  A new shelter with restroom facilities is available by reservation.

Middleton Hills Neighborhood Park - South
6805 Frank Lloyd Wright Ave

 

A 5 acre neighborhood park offering an outdoor shelter, an open play area, a basketball court, volleyball court, and play equipment.  The park also features and accessible boardwalk that meanders north through its wetland area and a hiking trail east through an oak woodland, connecting to the Pheasant Brach Conservancy West Primary Trail.

Woodside Heights Park - 7202 Voss Parkway


A 10 acre park located on the west side of Tiedeman Pond.  The park offers a basketball court, play equipment, an open play field, and a water fountain.  Ice skating is also available during the winter on Tiedeman pond.


Directions: From Gammon Rd., turn west on Fortune Dr., north on Sweeney Dr., then west on Voss Pkwy.  On-street parking is available at the park area.  Map

Stricker Park - 7605 Voss Parkway


A 10 acre park located on the west side of Stricker pond.  The park offers an open play area, playground equipment, a tennis court, basketball court, and drinking fountain.

Quarry Park - 7701 Terrace Ave

 

A unique 10,000 square foot skate facility designed for skateboard and rollerblade enthusiasts.  The facility is open daily from 7a.m. until dusk, March 15 to December 15.  Safety gear is recommended and BMX bikes are prohibited.  There is a portable toilet on site.

Metropolitan Community Park - 5209 CTH Q, Waunakee


A 146 acre community park which offers an off-leash dog exercise area, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, hiking trails, and a shelter facility with restrooms.


Directions: Take Century Ave. east, then turn north on Hwy Q.  The park is located on the west side of hwy Q just south of Hwy K.  More Information

Stonefield Park - 6528 Clovernook Rd


A 2 acre neighborhood park located near Elm Lawn Elementary School on the city's southwest side.  The park offers a "tot lot", play equipment, an open play field, tennis courts, and volleyball courts.  Restrooms and drinking fountains are provided.

A small 1.9 acre park located on Middleton's southwest side.  The park provides play equipment, an open play area, a basketball court, water fountain and a winter ice skating rink.

A medium sized 3.5 acre park in the Stonefield neighborhood offering an open playing field and play equipment.

Middleton's smallest neighborhood park, consisting of playground equipment for children in the Baskerville area.  The park is just a short walk away from Lake Mendota.

Park Shelter Rental Information

 

City Park Ordinance Review


1. Park hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
2. No person shall dump rubbish or other material in any park.
3. No person shall permit any pet to be at large or on leash in any park.
4. No person shall discharge any gun, rocket, or fireworks in any park.
5, No person shall strike a golf ball in any park.
6. Fishing and boating are allowed in any park during regular park hours.
7. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in any park, with the exception of Firemen's and Lakeview Parks.
