NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

REVISIONS TO AIRPORT LAYOUT PLAN

MIDDLETON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT--MOREY FIELD

To Whom It May Concern:

Notice is hereby given that the City of Middleton Airport Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 13, 2007, at 5:00 p.m., in the Middleton Common Council Chambers, 7426 Hubbard Avenue, Middleton, for the purpose of obtaining public input on proposed revisions to the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) for Middleton Municipal Airport-Morey Field, 8300 Airport Road, Middleton.  The ALP is being revised for two reasons: to update the Plan so that it reflects actual as-built conditions, and to identify potential projects that the City may seek to pursue within the next 5 to 10 years or beyond.

The main components of the revised ALP are as follows:

• Replacement of the existing turf runway (Runway 1/19) with a longer, paved surface.
• Development of a second cluster of airplane hangars on the northeast side of the airport.
• Installation of an approach lighting system on the west end of the airport (Runway 10/28).
• The identification of lands and easements that the City may seek to purchase for airport purposes.

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and present their views regarding the proposed revisions to the ALP.  Written inquiries or comments should be directed to:
